About Podhoc — Operator, Founder, Mission

Podhoc is operated by Nexo Apex SL, founded in 2024 by David Pelayo. Learn about our mission, the team, and the company behind the AI podcast generator.

Who runs Podhoc

Podhoc is operated by Nexo Apex SL, a Spanish company founded in 2024 by David Pelayo. The company is registered in Tarragona, Spain, operates under EU privacy law (GDPR), and runs the Podhoc AI podcast platform end-to-end — product, engineering, infrastructure, and customer support.

Our mission is straightforward: turn the things people already mean to read — research papers, articles, lecture notes, PDFs, YouTube transcripts — into audio they will actually finish. Reading is a focus tax most people cannot afford during the working week. Listening is not. Podhoc closes the gap.

What we build

Podhoc is an AI podcast generator. You give it a source — a PDF, a URL, a YouTube link, a Word document, your own notes — and it produces a podcast-style episode in 2 to 5 minutes, in any of 74 languages, in one of 8 pedagogical formats.

The platform is used today by:

We publish a public roadmap and changelog and operate a search-engine indexing runbook so the indexability of the marketing surface is auditable.

Founder — David Pelayo

David Pelayo founded Podhoc in 2024 after a decade building developer-facing platforms across Spain and Europe. His background spans backend engineering, data infrastructure, and AI tooling — the three disciplines Podhoc draws on equally. He runs product and engineering day to day.

You can find him on GitHub, X, and LinkedIn. For technical questions about the product or the API, the GitHub profile is the fastest channel.

Editorial standards

Every blog post on this site is signed by a named author and dates the original publication and last edit. We use JSON-LD Article schema with explicit author (Person) and publisher (Organization) blocks so search engines and AI consumers can attribute content correctly. We do not run guest posts and we do not accept paid placements. Internal product claims are linked to the features documentation where verifiable; external claims (research findings, industry statistics) link out to the original source.

If you find a factual error in any post, please email hi@podhoc.com with a link to the source — we issue corrections with a lastmod bump rather than silent edits.
