A clearer Podhoc: publishing choices and easier listening
Public Free podcasts, subscription privacy, clearer prices, simpler listening and downloadable AI-agent tools. What changes for your next Podhoc session.
Know what will be public
Completed podcasts on Free are public in Discover. Creator and Pro subscribers can turn off Auto-publish before generation or make an episode private later. Buying credits does not unlock privacy. Source files stay private, but the audio, title, cover and summary may reveal their contents.
Listening comes first
The homepage now offers a short sample beside Try free. Public episode headers and player spacing have been cleaned up. The next mobile update opens Discover first and calls your own collection My Podcasts; existing installed versions update through the stores.
Clear prices and separate consent
The pricing page distinguishes trying Podhoc, occasional credit top-ups and regular subscriptions. It shows actual pack unit prices and separates API tariffs from normal generation. Signing in with Google or Apple does not opt you into promotional email. Store prices may vary; recovery discount campaigns remain paused.
Every account has 10 distinct free Discover podcasts for life, with free replays while those episodes remain public and available. Previews do not use the allowance. After these choices, the standard per-play prices on the pricing page apply to other episodes. Own-podcast listening remains free.
Tools for repeatable work
The downloadable agent bundle and API reference explain access, budgets, safe retries and private creation. Hosted MCP activation is separate. No new benchmark, learning-outcome guarantee or free API sandbox is claimed.
Check the settings before you create
Output defaults to public. Creator and Pro can choose private creation before generating; private episodes can later be published with rights confirmation. Production API requests respect the subscribed owner’s choice; test tokens cannot publish. All plans can delete their own podcasts. Making a public episode private requires Creator or Pro. Existing podcasts keep their visibility on deployment. Downloads, search caches and third-party copies may remain outside our control.
